Our rules
Four rules, everywhere.
We never make up a value
When data is missing, you see “—”, not an estimate dressed up as a measurement.
We say what’s estimated
Renault shares very little. Every derived value carries a “~” and a button that explains the maths.
Zero isn’t the same as nothing
A free charge at €0/kWh is a real value. An unknown price stays out of every total.
Actually free
No ads, no tracking tools, no data sold.
We also say what doesn’t work yet: it’s spelt out in the privacy policy.
How it works
Your brand account, read by a server in France.
Sparks signs in to your My Renault, My Dacia or My Alpine account, just like the brand’s app. A Sparks server, hosted in France, reads your car and pieces together your trips and charges. The car app measures straight from the OpenR Link screen.
Thanks
Sparks is built on renault-api, an open-source library written by the community to talk to Renault’s servers. No renault-api, no Sparks.
Your car knows everything. Sparks shows you.
Free. In testing on iPhone, Android and OpenR Link.
