Real-world consumption of electric Renault, Dacia and Alpine cars

The Sparks fleet,
in numbers.

What Sparks cars really drive and use. Public figures, month by month, never a single car: at least five cars behind every number.

Month by month

Fleet consumption, every month.

Estimated
  • Total energy over total distance of the same trips: a 1-mile trip doesn’t count as much as a 100-mile one.
  • Renault doesn’t send consumption: it’s worked out from the change in battery level, and only on trips long enough to be reliable.
  • The winter/summer gap will be underestimated: short winter trips, which use the most, drop out of the sample more often.
  • Energy is only usable from mid-September 2026. Comparing seasons will take a full summer and winter.

Charging

How the fleet charges.

The energy that went into the batteries, and the average power of each charging session.

Measured by the car

Cold and speed, for real.

Only trips recorded by the car app: energy read from the battery gauge, GPS distance, outside temperature during the trip.

Measured by the car

By outside temperature

By average speed

  • Not the same cars as the fleet consumption: only cars with the car app count. Don’t compare the two figures.
  • Speed is door to door, stops included: it doesn’t tell you the type of road.
  • From one band to the next, the effect of cold or speed mixes with which cars happen to be driving.
  • “—”: the band doesn’t have enough cars or trips to be published yet.

Our rules

Public figures, no personal data.

  • 5cars at least behind every published figure.
  • 50%at most: no car weighs more than half of a figure.
  • 100 milesrounding on distances, 10 on trip counts.
  • 1 × / montheach month is calculated once, two days after it ends, then frozen.
  • MeasuredThe difference between two odometer readings, on trips tracked by Sparks. Not the cars’ total mileage.
  • EstimatedRenault doesn’t send consumption: it’s worked out from the battery level and nominal capacity, on trips where that’s possible.
  • DerivedThe energy of a charging session: the level difference between the first and last reading, times the nominal capacity. It’s underestimated.
  • Measured by the carEnergy, distance and temperature read by the car app during the trip.
